Ashland Aqualon Functional Ingredients' Natrosol® Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) dissolving properties are helped by its solubility in either hot or cold water. The time required for a complete solution of Natrosol usually depends the degree of lumping during the dissolution process. Lumping can be avoided by using a surface-treated Natrosol® R-grade which disperses quickly and helps produce more rapid solutions.
