AQUALON® ethylcellulose (EC) is a key binder for gravure printing inks as well as a thickening binder in flexographic and screen printing inks. In these applications, AQUALON® EC polymers provide scuff resistance, adhesion fast solvent release, film formation, and outstanding viscosity control.
Lithographic Printing and Fountain Solutions Aqualon AMBERGUM® polymers provide clean viscosity control, unique rheology in gumming and fountain solutions, and are good alternatives to gum arabic. AMBERGUM® polymers are excellent wetting agents and can replace alcohol and/or alcohol substitutes in many systems including lithographic fountain solutions. When used in fountain solutions, they can help prevent emulsification, bleeding of the ink and can provide more uniform wetting of the printing plate.
Textile Printing Aqualon BLANOSE® Carboxymethylcellulose is used as a rheology modifier for printing color formulations to ensure optimum print quality as well as strong adhesion to secure the web integrity of non-woven fabrics.
